Robin is a social worker registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Robin has earned her Master's of Social Work from UofT with a specialization in mental health.
Robin has experience supporting clients with a variety of mental health concerns in hospital, community, and private settings. She has expertise in supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, sleep disorders, substance use/ addiction, relationship challenges, emotion dysregulation/ suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder and boderline personality disorder. Robin draws from multiple theoretical frameworks to best suit your needs, and has completed training in CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), CPT (cognitive processing therapy), Mindfulness and mindfulness based CBT, DBT (dialectic behavioural therapy), and EFT (emotion focused therapy).
Robin's approach is non-judgmental, yet honest, and will always be guided by her client's needs and wishes. She prioritizes establishing a foundation of trust and rapport, with an emphasis on genuine connections and transparent communication. Robin aims to help clients develop new narratives, coping skills, and ways of thinking to break the cycle of unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Robin aims to bring honesty, empathy, creativity, and humour into sessions.
