Lee-Anne is a registered social worker with extensive experience providing therapeutic support to individuals experiencing addiction and concurrent mental health challenges. She specializes in supporting clients who have experienced domestic violence/ abuse, codependency, relationship challenges and anxiety, in addition to other comorbid mental health concerns.

 

She works as a trauma-informed addictions therapist who is trained to provide individuals, families, and groups with relapse prevention strategies. She integrates cognitive behavioural (CBT), dialectical behavioural (DBT) frameworks to her work and works from a strengths based lens. She utilizes a harm reduction framework that includes abstinence as a potential goal. 

 

Treatment plans are collaborative and client-centred as Lee-Anne recognizes that commitment and agreement from the client are essential in order to work towards meaningful change. Lee-Anne creates a safe space to process difficult experiences and work through negative thinking patterns and unhealthy behaviours. Lee-Anne has added expertise supporting individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ2s+ community.
