Meet Lauren Daurio, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker
Lauren is a clinical social worker registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
Lauren practices from a client centred approach, incorporating various methodologies to best meet the client's needs and goals. She believes in the importance of collaboration, and creating a safe, non judgemental, supportive space to fully experience a spectrum of emotions. Lauren emphasizes the strengths a client brings, and helps them utilize those strengths in challenging or uncomfortable circumstances. She will work with you to gradually lean in and accept those harder emotions, while finding better ways to manage them when they arise. Lauren welcomes you as you are, and will support you through your journey towards greater acceptance, compassion, and resilience.
In addition to private practice, Lauren works at the Hospital for Sick Children supporting patients and families. Lauren sits on various committees throughout the hospital. She is also involved in student instruction and supervision as a field instructor through University of Toronto's Factor Inwentash School of Social Work.
